We are looking for compassionate teachers who have a hunger to grow and learn.

Training- all teachers receive 1 week paid training before ever stepping in to the classroom. This also includes opportunities to observe current teachers.
Professional Development- All teachers receive support and guidance from a Senior Teacher at their centre. This includes quarterly observations and feedback, performance reviews every 6 months as well as monthly workshops.

Fixed Teaching Hours- Our part-time teachers have fixed schedules, teaching up to 16 hours a week. There are also additional opportunities to cover classes as needed.
Clubs and Social Events- At I Can Read we love to work hard and play hard! We currently have board game & fitness clubs as well as team building events.
Happiness!- I Can Read are focused on creating happy teachers, students & parents. We have studied the science of happiness and include happiness habits in our daily lives. We also give teachers the opportunity to bring happiness habits in to the classroom.
Very Competitive Pay Rates- We pay our teachers between $20-$25 per hour depending on qualifications and experience.

Bachelor Degree in relevant subject area. 2 years professional experience - not necessarily teaching experience. A teaching qualification - PGCE / Masters in Education / TEFL (online TEFL course can be provided for the right candidates) Subject knowledge excellence Ability to make excellent, empathetic relationships with young people in a personal, 1-1 environment Excellent interpersonal skills: ability to work closely and collaboratively in a small team
