ENGLISH LANGUAGE INSTRUCTOR (UNIVERSITY)
Job Description
Full-time instructors to teach adult learners in our TESOL Certificate program and teenagers studying in our IELTS and General English programs.
Only native speakers of English will be considered. Instructors who hold a master’s degree in TESOL / Applied Linguistics / English Language Teaching / Education will be prioritized. Instructors without a relevant master’s degree but with permanent residential status in Vietnam will also be prioritized.
Teachers must be prepared to teach on some evenings and sometimes Saturday and Sunday.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons to students in both online and face-to-face modalities
- Prepare thoroughly for lectures / lessons
- Be responsible for course grading
- Maintain accurate attendance and grade records
- Promote the success of the institution by following our professional and ethical guidelines. These include maintaining a positive attitude in the workplace, and being respectful to fellow faculty members, members of the management team, support staff and students
- Support student learning outside the classroom by holding office hours and responding promptly to emails and messages
- Know how to use learning management and project management systems
Requirements:
- Native speaker
- Bachelor’s degree
- CELTA
- Minimum two years full-time teaching experience, preferably to adults and teenagers
- Be cooperative, a team player, respectful
- Prepared to work in the evenings and at weekends
Preferred:
- Relevant master’s degree or
- Permanent residential status in Vietnam
